Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School

Stourbridge, West Midlands, UK

www.elmfield.com

 To start 18th April 2018

Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School is looking for a committed and inspiring Eurythmy Teacher for Classes 5 to 8 and Upper School Eurythmy blocks/modules.  Modules in the Upper School are taught first thing in the morning in a 4 day rhythm over a 3 week block.  The group is comprised of around 15 students from Classes 9-11.  This allows for the possibility of working on Eurythmy more intensively.  Eurythmy takes places in our beautiful and spacious studio with a sprung floor.

Ideally you should have a Eurythmy qualification, together with either a state teaching qualification, Waldorf Diploma or experience of teaching Eurythmy in a Waldorf School. You should also have excellent classroom management skills and be able to create and maintain a positive and healthy climate for learning, as well as an age appropriate coherent curriculum.

Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School is located in Stourbridge, 30 minutes from Birmingham, Worcester and Wolverhampton, and only a few minutes from the Clent Hills.  We follow the Waldorf curriculum, providing all-round education for children aged 3-17 years.  We’re the only school in the region providing a real alternative to state education. We now have waiting lists for many academic year groups and we have grown in pupil numbers every year since 2012. We’re on an exciting journey of growth and development. It’s a great time to join us and develop an education that focuses on the needs of the developing human being.  We are fortunate to have a Eurythmy School nearby which gives regular performances.  There are also many Eurythmists in the area who are active in working with artistic Eurythmy.  There is, therefore, the possibility that you could continue your artistic work alongside teaching at Elmfield.

If you wish to know more about this exciting opportunity please email Diana Ball, on diana.ball@elmfield.com.

Application forms must be received by 26th January 2018 via email to info@elmfield.com or post to Elmfield School, Love Lane, Stourbridge, DY8 2EA.  CVs will not be accepted.  No agencies please.

Elmfield School is committed to safeguarding children and we expect all applicants to share this commitment. We follow safer recruitment procedures and any post is subject to background checks, including references and enhanced DBS disclosure.
